What is “Natural Humanship Training?” How effective have the current trends in therapy been in reducing the high recidivism rates? Natural Humanship Training is a form of equine facilitated psychotherapy that allows the human to heal through interaction with the horse. Work with the horses, teaches effective communication skills, builds confidence & self- empowerment, and encourages leadership without relying on intimidation. These tools and knowledge transfer to personal life situations.
We have 800 requests for various agencies for people to participate in the program beginng this spring, 2014.
How is this program different from other equine-facilitated therapy
programs? Though there are several similar equine-facilitated therapy and therapeutic riding programs, this particular program is one of the few that integrates “natural” horsemanship principals. Natural horsemanship encourages willing communication between horse and human through numerous ground and riding exercises, creating a partnership based on Respect, Trust, Love, and Communication.
Humanship is a 8 week program, 3 hours per day, costing $50 per day
